Summary :
The authors described the results of their investigations. A questionnaire is submitted to 360 patients at the beginning of their first consultation for a sexual symptom.
Eighteen sexologists took part in the experiment.
The same questionnaire was sent two years later to the same population.
Only 51 people answered to the second inquiry.
The sample repartition was 70 % male and 30 % female.
We considered that the sample size is significant to be confident of the results.
We observe an increased of intercourse, a decreased of the anxiousness, an improvement of the sexual satisfaction.
- 18,6 % of the patients were treated pharmacologically ;
- 20,9 % by couple-therapy ;
- 53,5 % by individual therapy ;
- others 7 % ;
- 64,4 % were improved by the therapy and recognized the efficiency of the consultation with a sexologist ;
- 33,3 % have a little or absence of improvement.
These results were validated by the "Khi 2 test". They are promising and we consider a comparative evaluation of different strategies in sexology therapies.
