Summary :
Evaluation of erectile dysfunction is now limited because of several reasons :
- the evaluation is often not necessary ;
- etiological treatments of erectile dysfunction are uncommon or ineffective ;
- some technicals are not well standardized or painfull ;
- the interpretation is difficult.
Thus, the indications of erectile dysfunction evaluation are always discussed and depend on patientŐs age and motivation. They concern patients under sixty when the diagnosis is uncertain or after therapeutic failure. They also are indicated before surgery, in clinical research and forensic valuation.
