Summary :
Male identity, in a concept of evolution, is an integration of biological, psychological and cultural
factors. Male identity stands on three powers : sexual, economic, and reproductive power. While in
the past work autonomy, sexual maturity, and possibility to exercise sex, were synchronic, today this
is no longer possible. The order of the "power pillars" which maintain male identity has changed
with the years. Nowadays, sexual potency has become more important. The interdependence between
social-economic power, sexual power and reproductive power weakens male sexual identity.
