SUMMARY :
Objective : the purpose of our work has to surround and to study knowledge, attitudes and practices in the domain of the teenager sexuality in the region of Sfax.
Material and Method : it is about a prospective investigation carrying on 100 aged High school students of 12 to 19 years.
We proceeded by a questionnaire written in Arabic including items concerning the sexuality of teenagers.
Results and comments :
- the middle age of the puberty was of 13,6 years ;
- 76 % of teenagers declared to have been informed previously on the puberty. This percentage is greatly correlated to the level of parental instruction ;
- 68 % of our sample declared to have benefited a sex education ;
The profit of a sex education was at the level correlated school of parents. The source of this sex education was friends in 35,5 % of cases and masses media in 28,7 of cases.
- The first goal of a sexual activity was to enjoy in 28 % of cases ;
- The love was considered, in 39 % of cases, like an as very sexual relation that sentimental ; - "The virginity, indicatory of chastity, remains a certificate of good premarital conduct" and for which opt a big number of our teenagers. Indeed, 66 % among them think that the girl must preserve her virginity until the marriage.
- The messages about the masturbation that our society send back stay very ambiguous, indeed a teenager on two thinks that the masturbation could be harmful to health, and dragging the defloration at the girl. This conduct is surrounded of guilt in 27,3 % of cases ;
- This guilt appears increasing with age (10,6 % during the first adolescence, against 16,7 % during the second adolescence).
To the contrary of the pleasure procured by masturbation that appears being attenuated with age (27,3 % during the first adolescence against 16,6 % during the second adolescence). (indeed, during the second adolescence, it is the heterosexual object that brings the more of pleasure).
- Depreciation or even the interdiction of sexual intercourse before the marriage in our society appears in the low percentage of teenagers having a sexual practice (8 % of cases).
Conclusion : To seen it of these results an education and objective and adequate sexual information is necessary for our young teenagers in order to replace the noted hiatuses, and on the news erroneous received concerning sexuality.
