SUMMARY :
Sex, society and video is a wide subject. I will confine myself to the pornographic
picture and to its penetration into our environment through the cinematographic
and video production which has been the main vehicle for the last years.
We can see that this vision in close-up of two sexes fitting each other, carry
us beyond our sexuality and leads us, taking account of our inhibitions, to
the staggering and even hallucinatory contemplation of a missing image. The
strength of pornographic image is not due to its crudeness but to its apparent
irrefutability which is inscribed as a wedge in this lack without any possibility
of filling it.
